Who or what inspired you to pursue your current career?
Family! Most of us grew up in the business.
What I like best about what I do is:
Our customers. We have been in the same location for over 60 years and have third and fourth generation customers. Our customers are the heart of our business.
Advice I would give to young female entrepreneurs:
Be personable and treat people the way you want to be treated. Have fun in what you do.
My greatest successes have been:
Being able to have a happy and healthy family life as well as my career.
What’s something interesting about you that not many people know?
I loved gymnastics growing up. It’s a sport that taught me how to gain self-esteem, set goals, and improve self-discipline early on.
I was a competitive gymnast, traveled and participated in many competitions.
What are your favorite things to do on the Coast?
You can’t live on the Coast and not enjoy the sunsets, food, and art. As far as a favorite restaurant, I think we can all agree Pop’s Pizzeria, owned by Robyn and Chuck Lamey. Robyn has been working here at Luckies for 28 years.
