Although Jennifer Mayfield has always enjoyed baking, she realized it was her calling 10 years ago when she made her nephew’s first birthday cake. She posted a picture of the Saints Football Jersey cake on Facebook and promptly started receiving requests. “I said, ‘Why not?’
“Baking is my passion. There is a difference between working to work
and doing something you love. Making someone’s vision come to life in an edible treat is what drives me,” she explains.
Mayfield believes that, while goals may be delayed, they will always be worth it. “What is meant for you will always be for
you. Perfect your craft and strive to be the best at what you do!”
One of Mayfield’s longtime goals was to open her own storefront by the time she was 30. “Well, God had a few other goals for me to check off outside of that timeline, but I made it happen!”
Mayfield now owns a successful bakery, Sugar Tribe Sweets and Events, and is living her dream. You can visit her for custom cakes, “Boho Jars” (her twist on cakes, cookies, or brownies in a jar with her incredible boho icing), brownies, cookies, cake pops, and more!
