Not many people know that Theresa Cuevas enjoys working late at night with music playing. That’s because she enjoys humming along to music as she makes each floral arrangement.
Cuevas is honored to continue the family owned business after so many years. Over the years, Theresa opened a second location in Long Beach with gift items and a women’s clothing boutique.
“My mother is my inspiration for what I do,” she says. “I can remember as a little girl sitting beside my mom as she made floral arrangements. She was always so happy working and singing along to music. Today as
I work I am thankful that I am following in her foot steps.”
Cuevas loves making a positive impact not only on each one of her customers lives but also the community. She enjoys seeing the joy that her floral arrangements bring to the community. “The smile my customers have when they realize the flowers are for them is just priceless. Making people smile is so rewarding” she says.
“One of my greatest accomplishments in my career is being chosen to help decorate the White House.” She loved having the opportunity to make an impact on the people’s home for Christmas.
Along with many professional accomplishments, Theresa believes that her children and her grandchildren are her greatest blessings. Cuevas and her family’s favorite spot for any family celebration is Half Shell.
Her advice for her daughters and other young female entrepreneurs is, “Never doubt yourself. You can do it!”
