Amanda Ray has always wanted to
make a difference in and give back to her community. She wanted to make an impact on the Coast as it grows and develops. She wanted to be a part of helping it continue to thrive for the future leaders of her community.
As a social worker, Ray has the heart and passion to help others and serve her community. She took a leap of faith when deciding to work for the Bacot McCarty Foundation.
“It’s an honor to work for such a wonderful foundation that supports so many worthy causes on the Coast. Through the Foundation I have made so many wonderful connections in the community,” she explains. “It is an honor to serve and make a difference in people’s lives on a daily basis. I get to go home every day knowing that I have made an impact in someone’s life. That truly is a gift.”
She considers her greatest success to be her family. After struggling with infertility for many years, Ray and her husband were blessed with twin boys. “They are our pride and joy,” she says.
Something not many people may know about Ray is that she is an ultramarathon runner and has completed over 40 marathons and ultramarathons.
