D’IBERVILLE CITY COUNCIL

Cchipley@diberville.Ms.us
Carrie Chipley-Taranto is proud to serve D’Iberville as the city’s only current female City Council member.
“I had a dream, a goal, a wish,” she said. “I had a burning desire to chase and fulfill for nearly 15 years. That dream was to run for City Council for my beloved D’Iberville. It was a wish my father had for me that he shared more than 20 years ago before he passed. It’s a decision that I made with great care and consideration before committing to pursue it. It was important to me to be certain that I could give the position the respect and commitment that it deserved and truly be qualified and dedicated to be a strong voice for the people tasked to elect their representative.”
Taranto has done the city proud, serving her community with a
passion that conveys her deep love for D’Iberville. “It is such a unique community and the defining place of influence that shaped me into a person and gave me the many life experiences that I count as blessings each and every day,” she says. “I say it’s not just a city, it’s a family, a way of life. To me D’Iberville is a city of treasure, with its most valuable gems being the people.”
She is honored and excited to serve her hometown and to give back to it with gratitude and, hopefully, in a way that is profound.
