Amber Guess grew up in the furniture business and knew at a young age that her future would be in the same industry. Her grandparents opened Luckies in 1954, and she was inspired by her family members to continue working in the family business.
“My favorite part of the job is helping our customers,” Guess says. “They’re at the heart of what we do.”
She feels lucky to work with such a great team. “We work hard every day to make sure our customers are happy,” she explains. “We continue
to offer the best furniture buying experience and customer service on the Gulf Coast.”
Guess loves being able to support other woman- owned businesses. She believes that it brings value to society, economic and social benefits, and helps promote work-life balance.
Having been born and raised in Biloxi, and living there most of her life, Guess knows the Coast pretty well.
Guess’s advice to other young, female entrepreneurs is: “Believe in yourself, take risks, and have fun in what you do.”
