Daiquiri Shop offers frozen treats, eats
BILOXI — The Daiquiri Shop – Frozen Treats and Eats provides a way for guests to chill at Beau Rivage. Located in the retail promenade between the entrance to the parking garage and Roasted Bean patio, The Daiquiri Shop offers daiquiris and other frozen concoctions, available with or without alcohol.

Margarita, featuring
Jose Cuervo, Cointreau and lime; Creole Margarita, a spin on the Big South Margarita with mango and jalapeño added; Back Bay Runner, a blue raspberry and lemon blend with Bacardi; Beach Blvd. Lemonade, a classic frozen lemonade with Tito’s vodka and topped with a cherry; and Biloxi Vice, a refreshing strawberry and pina colada with Malibu rum.
In addition to frozen beverages, a variety of bottled beers, canned cocktails and seltzers, sodas and water are available.
Food offerings are presented “pop-up style,” with a rotating menu of quick bites focusing on locally and globally inspired items, including Mexican fare, barbecue, Coastal cuisine and other concepts. The venue currently features a variety of tacos, chips, guacamole and salsas available to dine in or as grab-and- go.
The Daiquiri Shop is open Thursday and Friday from 3 to 11 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
New Year’s Day dining
MISSISSIPPI — Enjoy a good meal to get a good start to the new year. Here are just a few of the holiday offerings for Sunday, Jan. 1.
At Palace Casino Resort, the Palace Buffet has a New Year’s Day special. On Jan. 1, feast on a traditional holiday menu with prime rib and all the favorites from the Grill, Comfort, Wok and Coastal stations. The holiday meal is available from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for $28 with a players club card ($30 without). And Contact, featuring a complete selection of burgers, sandwiches, salads and appetizers, is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on New Year’s Day.
Celebrate the new year with a special brunch at infinity buffet at Treasure Bay. The buffet will feature a hearty holiday breakfast menu along with all the buffet favorites, including Dungeness and snow crab. Brunch will be served Jan. 1 and 2 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for $43.19 with players club card. Brunch without crab is $20.69 with card. The buffet is located on the 2nd floor.
Also at Treasure Bay, a New Year’s Day special will be offered in The Den where a traditional Southern meal will be served. The Den has a lucky dinner featuring a grilled or fried pork chop, corned beef and cabbage, steamed rice with black eyed peas, turnip greens and Southern-style corn bread. This New Year’s treat will be available Jan. 1 from 11 a.m. to midnight for $25 per person. The Den is located on the ninth floor.
Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast’s Epic Buffet features jumbo snow crab and bottomless bubbly on Jan. 1. From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., enjoy boiled royal reds, slow-roasted carved prime rib, charbroiled ribeye and more. There will also be a selection of specialty desserts, including Southern pecan pie. The buffet is $54.99.
At Riverwalk Casino Hotel in Vicksburg, Smiley’s has a New Year’s Day brunch on Jan. 1. Served from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the brunch is $19.99. Plus, enjoy live entertainment from Ben Shaw, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
