Casino restaurants host New Year’s Eve specials
GULF COAST — Midnight on New Year’s Eve is not the time to feel those hunger pangs; there is too much celebrating going on. Before the countdown begins, be sure to get a wonderful meal at one of the many casino restaurants offering holiday specials on Saturday, Dec. 31.
Palace Casino Resort has a three-course gourmet dinner in Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood. Offered from 5 to 11 p.m., the dinner is available both Dec. 30 and Dec. 31 for $115 per person. Featured main course entrees are the surf and turf (6 oz. filet mignon and rock lobster tail) or Chilean sea bass with shrimp and sous vide lobster. There is a choice of soup or salad, and the meal comes with dessert.

Treasure Bay has a special three-course New Year’s Eve dinner in The Den offered from 5 p.m. to midnight. The three-
course prix fixe menu features a choice of entrée: pan seared snapper and shrimp Veracruz ($55), 12-oz. prime rib ($60), or 8 oz. filet and grilled shrimp ($65). Each is served with soup or salad and dessert.
Several restaurants at Beau Rivage are hosting specials. Stalla has a New Year’s Eve brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and later that day, the full menu will be available from 4:30 to 11 p.m.
In addition to its regular menu, BR Prime presents a New Year’s Eve prix fixe menu from 5 to 10 p.m. for $165 per person. Entree choices include filet mignon, Chilean sea bass and short rib and mushroom risotto.
And the Atrium Café has a New Year’s Eve platter for $58 available from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The three-course meal features a petite filet and lobster for the entree, with a winter chopped salad and a special dessert.

In the Blue Bayou Bar & Grill, two
holiday specials will be available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Day. Enjoy crispy half duck confit served with bing cherry and port wine demi-glace, Danish blue cheese- infused whipped potatoes and truffle- scented asparagus or blackened pork loin with apricot-ginger glaze served with brown butter and rosemary whipped potatoes, charred Brussels sprouts and roasted peppers in a bacon-sherry vinaigrette. Both meals come with a choice of salad. Plus, the restaurant’s full menu will also be available. Reservations are recommended, and can be made by calling (228) 469-2777, ext. 2870.
Treasure Bay
Take a break this holiday season and enjoy a Christmas feast at Treasure Bay. Infinity buffet will serve up an array of traditional
dishes including carved ham, roasted turkey and smoked brisket. Available on Christmas Day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., this special will include crab legs for $43.19 or without crab for $20.69. Both prices are with players club card. The buffet is located on the second floor.
And in The Den, on the ninth floor, a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings will be served from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The special three-course meal features a choice of entrée: grilled salmon ($50), chargrilled beef tenderloin medallions ($55) or 12-oz. prime rib ($60). The meal is served with soup or salad and dessert.
Or, get a Christmas meal to take home with the Holiday 2 Go offer. Enjoy a hearty meal including one entrée served with rolls and cranberry sauce plus the choice of one side, vegetable and dessert — enough for 10 to 12 people. Select from
roasted turkey breast or glazed ham ($150), herb-crusted pork loin ($175) or smoked beef brisket ($200). Choose from an array of seasonal favorite side dishes, including mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potato casserole, cornbread dressing, creamed corn, green bean casserole and more. Pumpkin cheesecake, pecan pie, sweet potato pie and German chocolate cake are dessert choices. Get an additional side, vegetable or dessert for $15 each. Preorder is available at the buffet through Dec. 18.
