Chefs create Valentine’s Day meals from the heart
   GULF COAST — Gulf Coast casino chefs have put their hearts into creating some very special Valentine’s
Day menus this
year. From steak to
seafood and buffets
to fine dining, there
is something tasty for everyone to love among the holiday offerings. Many of these specials are not only offered on Valentine’s Day, but also a few days before the holiday, which is Monday, Feb. 14.
Silver Slipper Casino
Silver Slipper Casino Hotel has a Valentine’s Day dinner special in the Jubilee Buffet, and the special in Blue Bayou Bar & Grill can be enjoyed all
weekend.
On Feb. 14, enjoy the
bountiful buffet featuring shrimp and fish entrées. Dinner is served from 4 to
9 p.m. for $39.95.
In Blue Bayou, a three-course meal is the Valentine’s dinner, served Friday and Saturday, Feb. 11-12, 5 to 10 p.m., and Monday, Feb. 14,
5to9p.m.
The surf and turf dinner for
two starts with brandied crab brie bisque followed by an arugula salad with strawberries, spiced pecans, crisp prosciutto, goat cheese and a Champagne vinaigrette. Share an entrée of cocoa- and cracked pepper- crusted twin petite filets crowned with Danish blue cheese fondue and balsamic gastrique, two broiled lobster tails, Parmesan and applewood potato soufflé and roasted baby vegetables.
Tiramisu is the dessert to share and features hazel
Pirouline and smoked dark and white chocolate almond bark. The meal includes a glass of Mirassou Merlot per person for $99.

her feet with a Valentine’s meal Friday through Monday, Feb. 11-14, 5 to 10 p.m. at Carter Green Steakhouse and Beach Blvd Steamer; and Friday and Saturday, Feb. 11-12, and Monday, Feb. 14, 5 to 10 p.m. at Prime Cut.
At all three restaurants, start the meal with a choice of either boiled gulf jumbo shrimp nestled on a bed of coastal shrimp salad or fried bacon with cranberry
compote and fig balsamic glaze. For the entrée, choose either twin tournedos of beef tenderloin Rossini, cooked to desire doneness, topped with foie gras and madeira demi- glace or Tuscan-seared salmon served over spinach with sundried tomatoes Parmesan sauce. Both entrées are served
with asparagus.
To top off the meal, there is
pumpkin cheesecake tart, served in a shortbread crust with white chocolate vanilla bean whipped cream and ginger and
Chinese five spice pecans.
This special will be served during regular dining hours for $45 per person or $75 per
couple. Diners must be 21.
