 CASINO DINING GUIDE
Restaurants at The View Casinos ready for St. Patrick’s
GULFPORT — Spend St. Patrick’s Day at The View Casino Resorts and enjoy Irish specialties in The Buffet, The Diner, C&G Grille and Dockside Deli. All special meals are offered only on Thursday, March 17.
The Buffet will offer steamship round of corned beef, Irish lamb stew with vegetables, and colcannon — a dish of cabbage, potatoes and carrots seasoned with
corned beef. Also dine on all the traditional favorites from the Asian, Southern, and Italian stations. And for the finale, don’t forget the house- made gelatos, custards and ice creams.
The Buffet’s St. Patrick’s Day menu will be available Thursday, March 17, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for lunch, $13.99; and from 4 to 10 p.m. for dinner, $27.99.
The Diner will also serve
a festive Irish meal of tender corned beef hash topped with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce served over a bed of creamed spinach on March 17 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. for $14 per person.
C&G Grille gives diners the choice of either house salad, seafood gumbo or soup of the day, followed by tender corned beef nested over a cheesy potato pancake with cabbage and carrots. This Irish-themed
meal will be served for $18 per person from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on March 17.
And finally, Dockside Deli lets guests start the meal with potato soup, before choosing an entrée of either salmon croquettes with dill tartar and traditional colcannon or Guinness-braised lamb stew with carrots. This meal will be offered on March 17 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for $16 per person.

melts in your mouth — as it did at Jia. The pork stew is made with boiled eggs in a fish sauce, and its flavors meld together to form a wonderful taste treat.
The crispy salmon was also a delightful dish with spicy Fresno chiles, red peppers and onions. Each bite was a mix of a little sweet, a little spicy, a little savory with the perfectly cooked fish getting all the attention. After devouring these meals, we agreed with the chef that both the pork belly and the salmon are wonderful additions to the menu.
Ca chien xa (whole fried snapper), crispy shrimp and crispy squid are other fish and
seafood entrées, along with glazed butterfish, salt-and-pepper lobster, and teriyaki salmon. Mongolian salmon, kung pao chicken, beef and broccoli and pad thai are more favorites at Jia.
They say there is
always room for dessert,
and our fantastic waitress, Nikki, directed us to the lemongrass Bavarian. The mango, kiwi and lemongrass cream in an almond- coconut tuile edible dish was a sweet, creamy way to end our meal.
The restaurant also features a full
selection of domestic and imported beers, wine, 12 different sakes, and specialty and artisanal cocktails.
Everything about our experience at Jia was lovely, and while they are calling it “reimagined” with its new look and offerings, it remains one of the best Asian restaurants around.
Jia is open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m., with extended hours on Friday and Saturday, from 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., for late night dining at the sushi and noodle bars. For dinner reservations, call (888)750-7111.
