Bushwacker; draft, domestic and imported beer; wine; fun bucket beverages; and the signature drinks. I went for Wahoo’s Bikini, a delicious mix of vodka, blue curacao, triple sec and fresh lemonade — just what was needed to cool down. We also had a Kona Big Wave Golden Ale, one of the new IPAs at Wahoo’s.
As we sipped our drinks and savored the relaxing breeze, we looked at the menu, which has a large selection of appetizers, wraps, sandwiches and
more, all of it easy to
eat al fresco. Appetizers
include such Southern
favorites as fried
pickles, peel-and-eat
shrimp and pulled
pork nachos. We opted
for the house-made
smoked tuna dip, the
chicken quesadilla and
the loaded fries.
The tuna dip is light and creamy, and comes with plenty of crackers. And while not exactly a light snack, the loaded fries was one of our favorites: a basket of crisp crinkle cut fries topped with queso cheese sauce, bacon, green onions and sour cream. The fries were loaded all right — loaded and delicious.
Wahoo’s has baskets, including deep fried chicken wings in
your choice of sauce, chicken tenders and shrimp.
Blackened shrimp tacos with onion rings (above) and the chicken quesadilla (below) are perfect to pick up and eat at Wahoo’s. Easy summer foods like this make dining al fresco so enjoyable.
   The shrimp tacos
were another favorite of the evening. Three flour tortillas are generously filled with fresh shrimp and topped with lettuce, tomato and mojo sauce. We opted to have our shrimp blackened instead of fried, and
they were blackened just right and cooked perfectly; the shrimp were wonderful in the soft tortillas. For a side, we went with the

   The quesadilla,
served with salsa and sour cream, is a flour tortilla filled with chicken, cheese, peppers and onions. It was so good, like eating fajitas with melty cheese wrapped up for mess-free eating.
