 EMILY DIXON
“I am from Vancleave and graduated with a Bachelors in Human Resource Management from University of Southern Mississippi. I started with Express in October of 2016 as a front office coordinator in our Biloxi office, and within 6 months transitioned into a staffing consultant. In May of 2019, I was promoted to general manager of our Metairie location. After running the Metairie office for two and a half years, I was promoted to the position of South Florida developer rep for Jason Poole. I now reside in Miami, and am supporting his South Florida region.
My journey with Express has been a fun challenge, and I would not be the person I am now without those challenges. I have been put in really difficult and uncomfortable situations, but each of those situations helped me climb the ladder through this organization. This organization is a family, and that is why I love what I do. Everyone surrounding me wants to see me succeed in my career, and in my personal life. To me, I work with and for my friends every day, and I truly wouldn’t want it any other way.”
LAUREN DAVIS
“I am from Vancleave and have been with the company for 2 years. I started as FOC and then moved into an industrial recruiting role and have recently been promoted to our administrative recruiting team.
I came in at a low point in my life, thinking that an entry-level job would be my future for Express. Being completely clueless about what a staffing company was, I took a huge leap of faith and started my career with Express. I see myself continuing to advance my career with Poolemerica and continuing to climb the ladder of the organization.
I continue to stay with Express because I am truly making a difference in people’s lives and helping make a way for them to provide for themselves and their family and also the people here...
These people keep me going and are constantly driving me to be successful.”
CARRIE BARFIELD
“I am a Mississippi native who joined the Biloxi Express team in 2017. Immediately connecting to the organization’s leadership, core values, and push for not only self and team development, but the development of the community, I soaked up everything I could to be a beneficial piece in the puzzle. In the last 4 years, I have worked nearly every position in the company and have helped to develop multiple offices from Louisiana to Florida.
When asked what makes me stay focused and keep going on this journey with Express, it’s the fact that I’ve done a lot of different things and I’ve had a lot of different jobs, but with Express, I get to do everything I’ve ever wanted to do all at once. I get to work with my best friends, help the people around me, and challenge myself in becoming the better version of myself. That type of motivation is relentless, and I’m here for it! Now calling Tampa home, my goal is to give as many people as possible the opportunity of a job in Central Florida.”
JOY ESQUEDA
“I started my career with Express in Biloxi 8 years ago, after having held several leadership roles in gaming and hospitality. Starting as an associate, I was given an opportunity to join the Express Biloxi team as their front office coordinator. I quickly moved into a recruiting role helping with hospitality and light industrial, before settling into administrative and professional.
Eager for the next opportunity and having proven myself as a leader, I took the next step into ownership in October 2020. I now own and operate the Brandon, Florida, office alongside my husband, Eddie, as franchise partners. Express has not only opened up opportunities for me professionally, but it has allowed me to move back to Florida and start a legacy for my kids.”
