Additional appetizers, or “pre-game” dishes as referred to on the menu, include jalapeño poppers, fried Wisconsin mozzarella cheese, hot pretzels, the Texas brisket quesadilla and the new fried mushrooms. These huge ‘shrooms are perfectly fried and served with ranch dressing and, like all appetizers at CONTACT, are perfect for sharing. Those who like “skins” will delight in the fried pigskins served with hot pimento cheese dip and the deep-fried chicken skins, which really are the best part of
eating fried chicken.
While everyone agrees wings
several pizzas perfect for extra innings (the Meat Mammoth comes with pepperoni, Italian sausage, lean bacon and smoked ham); and an array of sandwiches, ranging from the chicken club, the CONTACT Philly cheesesteak, and the honey-bourbon glazed steak sandwich.
We went with the shrimp po-boy, a classic, and delighted in the freshly battered and nicely fried shrimp topped with an Asian remoulade sauce. Served on French bread and dressed

  are No. 1, the burgers, made
from 1855 Black Angus beef,
are also best sellers. There is the
patty melt with grilled onions,
cheese on rye bread with Russian
dressing; the bacon cheeseburger;
the bacon mushroom Swiss
burger; and the pimento bacon cheeseburger served on a sourdough bun. It was the pimento bacon burger that captured our attention, and we were glad it did.
The char-grilled burger was topped with a generous helping of spicy pimento cheese and several strips of crispy bacon. The melty cheese and hot bacon wrapped themselves around the burger in a most delicious way, and we savored each bite. We ordered the beer-battered onion rings, and found them to be a wonderful side to the burger.
CONTACT’s also has a few salad choices, including the buffalo chicken taco salad;
with lettuce, tomato and pickle, the po-boy and a side of potato salad score another home run for CONTACT, which has a record that can’t be beat.
There are plenty of tables for diners to sit and watch their game of choice. Don’t see the game you want? Just ask a waitress and it will soon be on

a TV nearest to you. There is also seating at the full-service bar, which offers video poker for gaming enthusiasts. And there are sports betting windows and 24-hour kiosks for those who want to get their wagers in.
